Oola Community Alert has been established for a number of years. There are new tools available to make this service work better for our community. The new Cairde app has been developed by Muintir na Tire to empower communities to communicate to take care of themselves and their friends and neighbours.
The Cairde app can be downloaded for free by Smartphone users. To be registered with Oola Community Alert, a €15 fee will be collected annually to support the administration of this service and the SMS fees associated with community text alerts. Details on how to make payment will be communicated shortly. For those with older phones, you can continue to receive standard text alerts by registering your number with the Oola Community Alert Group
This is a great tool. But, as more neighbours and friends use the tool, the more valuable it becomes to connect, secure, and empower our community.
