Local Elections - Oola's chance to put our future front and center. Vote local !

Local man Joe Meagher is again putting himself forward for the Limerick City & County Council Elections. Joe is running on the Fianna Fail ticket. But, local elections are less about party affiliations and more about having a local person to represent and support local issues.

Oola has been under-represented on the council for many years. Local councilors are responsible for highlighting and communicating the needs of the communities they represent through the forum of local government. Following the 2014 Local Government Reform Act, their remit includes planning and development, the provision of essential services and the management of housing and public spaces, as well as culture, sports, heritage and recreation facilities .

Oola loses out when there is not a local person sitting at the council chambers and fighting to prioritize Oola’s needs within the county. We need a councilor to be the voice for Oola’s future development.

Vote local ! Vote for Joe !
